As a Yoga Instructor, you will deliver energizing and educational classes that promote member wellness, safety, and engagement. We are currently in need of Instructors for classes on: Tuesdays at 5:45pm and Saturdays at 8:30am Responsibilities of a Yoga Instructor (Group Fitness): Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals Answer member questions and provide support to help them achieve their fitness goals Maintain a working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members Build effective and authentic relationships with members, helping them connect with each other and the YMCA Keep accurate class attendance records Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Certification in area(s) of expertise At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED required within 30 days of hire National certification (e.g. ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction New Employee Orientation required within first week of hire Physical Demands: Ability to conduct classes and activities Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting Perks: Free Y Membership YMCA
