Job Description

Westmoor Manufacturing , a family-owned company located in Fort Worth, Texas is looking for a Technical Apparel Designer to join our creative team in the exciting role of developing Rock and Roll Denim, Panhandle, and Powder River Outfitters fashion for men, women, and children. Duties:

  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of pattern development, technical construction specification and fabrications to ensure all product is completed accurately and within specified timelines.
  • Drive problem-solving with cross-functional teams to proactively resolve pattern, construction, quality, finishing, findings, and systems issues.
  • Development and implement new and current fit blocks for traditional sampling and 3D design.
  • Adopt new skills to facilitate implementation of new technology, systems, and tools. Assist to identify and deploy best practices on team and cross functionally.
  • Develop technical fit of assigned categories.
  • Mentor factory technical designers to develop understanding of pattern and fit standards.
  • Produce accurate specification packages including sketch details, base size specifications, and graded measurements which adhere to established fit and construction standards.
  • Coordinate and lead fit sessions on body form and model to assess fit, proportion, and overall silhouette.
  • Review and resolve bulk production quality issues as needed.
  • Travel as needed to evaluate bulk goods and mentor suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design/Technical Design/Apparel Manufacturing.
  • 5+ years Technical Design experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of production patternmaking, technical fit, and construction standards.
  • Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • PLM and 3D sampling a plus.
