Job Description

The Director of Creative Services will be responsible for setting the creative vision, managing internal and external resources, and delivering compelling campaigns and content that drive both performance and brand affinity. The Director of Creative Services role will be a key leader within the marketing organization, owning the creative output across channels—from TV to TikTok, packaging to performance ads—and partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure our creative is strategically sound, culturally resonant, and operationally efficient.

Key Accountabilities:

Creative Leadership

  • Define and lead the overall creative vision in alignment with brand and business objectives.
  • Steward the brand position, ensuring consistency and excellence across all creative deliverables.
  • Translate marketing and business goals into high-impact creative concepts and executions.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing hybrid internal & agency creative team across design, copy, content, and video.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing across projects and campaigns.

Agency & Partner Oversight

  • Manage external creative, production, and content agencies—from briefing through final delivery.
  • Evaluate agency performance and ensure alignment with brand standards and business needs.
  • Negotiate scopes, timelines, and budgets to maximize ROI.

Operational Excellence

  • Build and optimize creative workflows and processes to enable speed, scale, and quality.
  • Champion tools and systems that enhance creative development, asset management, and collaboration.
  • Maintain and manage creative services budget in partnership with finance and marketing operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with other Marketing Directors to bring to life our integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure creative output meets performance goals and resonates with directly with Stanley Steemer audiences across channels.
  • Use data and insights to inform and optimize creative strategy and execution.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in creative leadership roles, ideally within both agency and in-house brand environments.
  • Proven ability to lead integrated creative campaigns across channels and mediums.
  • Strong team management skills with experience developing high-performing creative teams.
  • Exceptional storytelling, design sensibility, and brand-building expertise.
  • Deep understanding of both performance marketing and brand marketing disciplines.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
